Great simple teether

I have purchased just about every teether out there and this is by far one of the favorites of both my boys. My youngest is 6 months old and this teether will keep him occupied for a while compared to others that he'll drop quickly and look for something else. It's a simple design, easy for him to grasp and get in his mouth. I would recommend this. It is worth the few dollars more you'll pay in comparison to other plastic teethers.
Maybe my hopes were too high?

I got this teether for my little boy expecting him to love it. Unfortunately, for me, everytime I hand it to him he seems completely uninterested. Matter of fact, he doesn't even like putting it in his mouth. He seems to like his Haba teethers much more. Craftmanship is great but for the $15 price tag (incl. shipping) I would pass & go with Haba or the organic cloth teether by Palumba.
Wood is good

I bought this teether hoping to avoid the ubiquitous "made in China" plasticware that most teethers are... I think I had higher hopes for it. My daughter likes it ok, but it is definitely not her favorite chew toy- she likes her Sophie Giraffe much more. It is easy for her to grip and it's very smooth- no splinters, after 4 months- but maybe it's just not her thing. But it's well made and once in a while she will gnaw on it for a bit. Some babies will love it, but she tends to want something slightly softer- cold wash cloths do the trick often, as does the aforementioned rubber giraffe. It's hit or miss but I don't regret trying.
My daughter loves this teether!

At first I was a little concerned that a wooden teether would be too hard. But, I was wrong. My daughter loves this teether. I can't leave the house without it. It's also nice to know that she is not putting plastic in her mouth all the time. Also, other reviews mentioned that they thought this teether was too small. I disagree. This teether is a perfect size for my 5 month old.

$15 (shipped) hand carved teether vs. the toilet paper roll

Yeah, guess which one wins out at our house. Was all excited to get this arguably great product from a great company. You know, feeling like you're doing the best thing for your kid, etc... Oh no, he does think it's a fun thing to throw, and it makes a nice loud noise when it hits the wood floor, but he has yet to bite it once, despite several charming attempts at acting this out by his parents. Toilet paper roll cores, plastic cups, books, garbage can foot pedals....all make more sense to him to bite than this nicely hand carved wooden teether. Note this is not a negative comment on the product itself. Also, since the company recommends coating it with beeswax, that should either be included or available at low cost on the product page.
Best teether!

My son is 6 months old and this is his favorite teether! He is not a fan of the cold ones, so I bought this one after reading the reviews. He really enjoys chewing on it!

This little teether is the perfect size. My daughter isnt teething yet but Im sure she will love to chew on this. I only wish it was pre-finished with the beeswax your supposed to rub on it. Buy beeswax if your getting this item, or youll have to wait longer to use it.
Best Teether EVER.

These teethers are the BEST. They may not be freezable or vibrate or have some shiney faced character on them but my daughter prefers these over anything else. The maple wood is naturally bacteriostatic, and the natural beeswax is hardley noticable. My only warning is to keep it out of reach of a puppy!!! Our little puppy liked it as a teether too!
I love this!!!

My son really likes this teether. He's only 5 months old and he has figured out how to pick it up and teeth on it all by himself. It's so simple and way nicer than the plastic teething rings that I used with my other son. Besides that, it is healthier.
I highly recommend this teether! |

Once my son figured out what to do with it, I cant leave home with out it! This by far is much easier to use than those teethers that go in the fridge. Fits great in a little guys mouth and great for little hands. The one thing I wish is that one side would be completely on same plane, having all sides with variation is good but one side should just be smooth.
