My bathroom was remodeled around this faucet

My bathroom was remodeled around this faucet. Excellent product. Looks great in the antique themed bathroom and it is functional, too!
Beautiful but for low traffic areas...

Bought this faucet two years ago for my half bath off the kitchen. I was lucky to find it at Lowe's on clearance for half the price listed here. It is a beautiful faucet and I get LOTS of comments from guests. Yes, I am starting to see calcification on the trough. The finish seems to be holding up to my cleanings but it still shows white calcium residue. I too have to re-tighted the main faucet where connected to the granite sink top but the handles do not have a problem.
And yes, I was disappointed in the plastic drain but I've never had a problem with it. It doesn't look plastic after being in place.
I love this faucet and I DO recommend it for low traffic areas.. I would never install it in my teenager's bathroom! Shop around for a better price.
Nice Looking, but Not Without Flaws.

About two years ago, we did a minor amount of remodeling in one of our bathrooms. About all it amounted to was a new sink/vanity, but, of course, that also involved choosing a new faucet. We chose the Price Pfister Trough faucet in pewter, as illustrated here.

We love the looks of the faucet, it was fairly easy to install and it seems to work fine. However, I have a couple reservations. If the faucet is left to barely run (literally, drip by drip), the water runs backwards on the underside of the water spout until it arrives on the vertical shaft. It then runs downward onto the sink and escapes wherever it can go. We've had several very minor floods, which don't amount to much but which can cause mold if not discovered in time. Of course, the obvious solution to this problem is to make certain the faucet is completely off after every use. Also obvious, this is a flaw in the basic design of the faucet.

A second problem is gradually becoming apparent. The interior of the water trough is corroding. It's minor, at present, but if the faucet is only two years old and showing corrosion already, it can only get worse. It's a nice looking faucet, but not without flaws.

Love it but it doesn't fit the sink

Reviewer: Helen Adams,
I was so very excited to find such a good deal on this faucet. My error, however. It is about 1/4" too big to fit the predrilled holes in our Kohler sink. I'm keeping it anyway. I'll find a way to use it some day!

This set is well made, and went in with no trouble. It is great for the rustic home.
Very hard to install on rounded holes!

We got an acetate vanity top with 8" spread but slightly rounded holes and I'm trying to install this faucet and it's giving me fits. The handles are so narrow they slide around in the holes and cannot seem to be tightened down enough to secure them. The drain/plug, which is cheap plastic, keeps leaking no matter how much plumber's putty I squeeze in there, the rod for the pop-up is too long so it doesn't fit against the back of the vanity and needs to be cut, and the drain pipe seems narrower than 1 1/4" - I cannot get it tighten enough on the P-trap which slides up and down easily on it.

Not for a do-it-yourselfer unless you have a week to spend on it and lots of patience!

I've installed American Standard faucets before and they were so much easier than this! I like the trough design but do NOT feel I'm getting what I paid for!

Great product. Love the old look and feel. Used it to replace the old hardware from an antique sink-- does not fit perfectly. Highly recommended.

My plumber couldn't believe the great price I paid for the faucet since he's purchased the same faucet at Lowes and Home Depot for much more than I paid. Price Pfister makes quality products.
Good looking faucet

It's attractive and easy to use. The water coming out has a cool effect. I'm not sure if my husband installed it wrong or not, but it doesn't provide much water pressure. Maybe it's suppose to be that way? It's not a trickle, just not a whole lot of water even when it's turned all the way on. It's enough water though. Ultimately...I like it and would buy it again.
Great Value

This item is a great value versus the higher prices everywhere else! Rustic design and it looks wonderful in our cabin.
