How do you "say something" about a commode seat? It's everything they said it was supposed to be, and works just fine. Very comfortable, too. High quality, for sure.

I purchased this item just seven months ago and parts have already worn out. The seat still looks exquisite, but under the seat, the supports which keep the wooden seat off of the Porcelain thrown are in pieces. A very poor buy.

this toilet seat has a pretty small opening. just something to be aware of, seems kinda of small for adults. looks good though!

This is a nice toliet seat and it really seems to be well constructed. The color of the picture is possibly a little darker or redder than the seat actually is but it matched well with the color of my bathroom cabinets which is called "Honey oak".

Solid wood but it is layered somewhat like plywood which will make it extra strong. I loved the hinges-very clean and simple.

The only thing that prevents me from giving this a 5 star review is, as another reviewer mentioned, the size of the center hole. It is a bit smaller than what I am used to seeing. And sorry to be blunt, but I believe that is why I have noticed a bit more urine backsplash than normal on the underside of the seat. It extends over the inside rim more than other seats so it is more exposed to more splash.

But it cleans easily and I believe it will last quite a while.

It's perfect!

I reluctantly decided to order a wooden toilet seat, the bamboo & nickel hinges convinced me to give it a try. I was worried it would be uncomfortable & too hard but much to my surprise it's not at all. I love the contour & softness of the wood, it's easy to keep clean & doesn't slide around (great hinges). Well worth the money & I expect it to last much longer than other seats I've had!

This was a great find. These toilet seats are beautiful and will make your bathroom more appealing. The seat is very smooth and does not get as cold as the synthetic ones. They do not absorb moisture and therefore stay cleaner. I am very pleased with this purchase. I bought one for each bathroom.

Two normal size adults in our home - Three bathrooms - And I travel on business a lot.
So this seat got light use.
Ordered on OCT 16 - Arrived a few days later. Priced right. Looked great. Easy to clean.
DEC 16 - Found one of the 4 supports (on the bottom of the seat that sit on the toilet bowl)- Had broken away from the seat.
The part that separated from the seat bottom was just a 3/16" small wooden dowel. (Two of these small dowels hold each support to the bottom of the seat.)
Tried to repair with several glues to no avail.
Threw it in the trash - Went to the "big box" store - Paid a little more -
But could look at what I was getting.
Better WAY better than your average thrown

Only a few necessary things with a seat; comfortable enough that if you like what your reading you can finish the page without your feet going numb, and the thing doesn't fall apart. The hardware is top quality and no doubt you will get what you pay for if you buy something of less quality than this. The seat is wide enough for a comfortable adult fit and the interior diameter small enough to give a child the confidence they dont have to try and keep from falling in. Also the bamboo finish so far holds up very well and the all around quality makes me believe other Mayfair products in this price range probably follow the same attention to details. Great product
Small Opening, Poor Construction, But It Looks Good

This seat has a small round opening, rather than an oval opening like some others for my round bowl. It is made of about 2 inch wide pieces of wood glued together. The pieces started to seperate almost as soon as I received it. The item was returned and I went to Home Depot and picked one up. It's too bad because this seat looked great.

Just ordered this for the guest bathroom. I have no fashion sense or any skills at interior design but I decided to pick this out since it was a darker color. My wife told me that it looked good with the bathroom decor. She told me it holds up well and has a very elegant look to it. So I guess I did something right for a change. :)
