I had been having migrains, dizziness, memory loss and confusion for about two years and decided to retire. Went to many doctors - no help or ideas. Twice two prescriptions sent me to the hospital. Nothing worked. Last year my daughter suggested I try Pro-gest for my headaches. About five days later I realized that my dizziness and confusion were gone and over time my headaches were deminished. Imagine, my daughter is smarter than 5 specialty MD's. As long as I remember to use my cream I have no probablems except for some migrains
I have a life worth living again. |

| I bought weaker cream locally but switch over once I received this in the mail. Initially I put too much on and felt tired all day. I've since adjusted to a good amount for me which I put on right before bed. I sleep all through the night even though I'm pre-menopausal. My anxiety levels have gone down and no more hot flashes. Only problem is it has a slight smell of peanut butter..sexy. Important to stop taking it for a period of time as per instructions. |

| Like others I have been researching everything I could get my hands on to deal with my menopausal symptoms. I am 48 years old and started experiencing hot flashes and many sleepless nights. I even resorted to prescription sleeping pills which I didn't like taking. So glad for Amazon and reading all the feedback from actual users of this product. From the first day I got it I have slept like a baby! I think just having enough sleep each night can assist in dealing with everything else! I started doing the organic shots of apple cider vinegar to reduce my hot flashes a few weeks before I read about this product, which does work well, but with the combination of the Pro-Gest I have completely stopped having them. So no more hot flashes and great nights of sleep finally! Very happy I found this product and would highly recommend it to anyone suffering from the same symptoms. I do use the smaller amount of the cream (a pea size) and it's all I've needed for these great results! |
Just be careful....

As long as I was mensturating it seemed to work fairly well. Mainly just being able to sleep better. After reading most of Dr. Lee's book though I found that where he thinks these creams are the answer to life I don't agree. I recommend not taking the large dosage (or even small) that he and others prescribe. That is the tricky part is finding the right dosage.
I reached a point in using these creams at a low dosage (smaller than a size of a pea) once every other day off and on for six months, that I was so sleepy I couldn't function and something just didn't feel right. I would roar like a lion in my head, I felt very aggressive and irritable. And like the other post mentioned, I'd get period cramps. When I quit using the cream I felt better...I really think (and doing reasearch) that it can build up in the system fairly quickly.
Hormones fluctuate a lot in perimenopause and to say these creams are the answer to it all isn't correct. If you want to check out an interesting site look at askapatient and progesterone. It will show the severe side effects people can get using these creams and also the prog pill is listed in here too. |

| This cream really helped me. I was getting terrible hot flashes and used several other products. This is the only one that truly worked for me. I used it for 3 weeks and then 1 week off. I did this for about 1 year. Now I don't need it anymore, my hot flashes are gone!!! I am 51. |

| i hope i have not spoke too soon...but I have had the worst menorrhagia for years. bloody heavy periods and anemia that lasts months on end. I wanted a natural alternative to the birth control and synthetic hormone shots that had caused me so mnay side effects over the years. After just 2 days of this cream my period stopped completely. I am hoping my hormone imbalance clears up. Not a bad smell and pretty good consistency. |

When I began experiencing menopause symptoms, before I even had my last period, I had severe hot flashes and night sweats which woke me up several times a night, I also had memory loss. I finally went to see my doctor who prescribed HRT, the highest dosage. Soon the symptoms were gone, and of course I was all excited to be back to normal.
Almost two years later, I had my last period, at age 48. I thought that by having no more periods, the hot flashes would go away. My doctor began to lower my dosage but I still took HRT. Three years after being on HRT I developed a bad case of Melasma. My cheeks and nose had these ugly brown blotches. After doing a lot of reading and consulting my doctor I found out that HRT can cause melasma. I had never had this problem, always had a clear complexion, even when I took birth control in my 20's, but I was very bothered to look at myself and see the melasma that not even make-up could disguise.
Slowly, I began to wean myself off the HRT, over a period of a year. The hot flashes and night sweats were less but didn't go away. Finally when I weaned myself completely , I thought that I wouldn't get any more hot flashes, but I was very wrong. Here I was, 5 years after menopause and still being bothered by them. I tried several over the counter herbal pills, but nothing worked. It was like taking nothing at all, a waste of money.
Finally, I heard on a talk show about using progesterone creams for relieving hot flashes and night sweats and deciced to give it a try. It was my last hope to try something that would work but wouldn't give me melasma. That's when I decided to use this cream. I did a lot of research online and was pleased with the reviews and also liked that it had all natural ingredients.
When I first began using it, I used one quarter teaspoon twice a day. Inmmediately my night sweats lessened and the hot flashes were almost non-existent. The only drawback was that I got severe insomnia and hardly slept at all those first two nights, so I decided to cut back the dosage to one eighth of a teaspoon twice a day. This has helped a lot more. I still get a few hot flashes during the day if the weather is hot, if I drink something hot, or exercise, but I've noticed that when the weather is cold, I get no hot flashes at all during the day. If the nights are cold, I get no night sweats, but if they are warm, I do get a few, but not with the intensity that I was getting before. I also sleep better.
It has been five and a half years since I entered menopause and I hope that with time this goes away. At least now I've found a cream that has helped me better than anything off the counter without having side effects like the HRT. |

| Hard to tell if it is "doing" anything-- it was recommended to treat "estrogen dominence", but I still have symptoms after over 2 months of use. Then again, I don't really have access to lab testing to document hormonal levels, so have no idea what starting or current levels are. |
